Kiarra is a second year undergraduate studying chemistry and molecular and cell biology with a concentration in neurobiology at the University of California, Berkeley. Her biological research interests include tackling the issue of identifying and characterizing multiple sclerosis at different stages through non-invasive and novel biomarker detection methods. Her chemical research includes working with elements like lanthanides and actinides to produce new inorganic compounds through electronic and structural manipulation in the Minasian Group at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. In her free time, Kiarra enjoys playing the viola and tenor saxophone in small chamber ensembles, and shooting to represent the Cal Archery Team.
